Full Biography for Glen Grayman, M.D.

Glen Grayman, M.D., F.A.C.E.P. is President of Desert Emergency Physicians Medical Group, Inc. and Medical Director of the Richards Emergency/Trauma Center at Desert Regional Medical Center (DRMC), Palm Springs, California. Dr. Grayman is a Fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians and is Board Certified by the National Board of Medical Examiners, American Board of Emergency Medicine, American Board of Internal Medicine, American Board of Medical Management, and American Board of Quality Assurance and Utilization Review Physicians. He currently serves as Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine at the UCLA School of Medicine.

Dr. Grayman was born in Los Angeles, was Valedictorian of Culver City Junior High School and Culver City High School, obtained a B.A. at the University of California, Riverside (with Highest Honors and election to Phi Beta Kappa), and an M.D. from the UCLA School of Medicine (with election to Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society). He completed an Internship and Residency in Medicine at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center (formerly, Los Angeles County Harbor General Hospital) and is due to obtain an M.B.A. with an emphasis in healthcare from U.C. Irvine in December, 1998.

As a practicing emergency physician at DRMC (formerly, Desert Hospital) for the last 21 years, Dr. Grayman has had the privilege of caring for thousands of residents of the Desert Healthcare District. He is currently serving as an Appointed Incumbent of that District's Board of Directors and chairs its Grants Committee. Additionally, he serves on the Board of Governors of the Desert Healthcare Foundation.

Previously, Dr. Grayman served DRMC in multiple capacities, including: President of the Medical Staff, Chairman of the Quality Council, and member of the Hospital's Board of Directors and its Operations Committee and Strategic and Financial Management Committee.

Dr. Grayman is the current Chair of the Emergency Department Directors Advisory Committee of Riverside County, is Past President of the Palm Springs Academy of Medicine, and is a previous member of the Riverside County Emergency Medical Care Committee, Riverside County Medical Association Board of Directors, and the Board of Directors of the American Heart Association, Riverside County Chapter.

Memeberships include: American College of Emergency Physicians, American College of Physician Executives, American Medical Association, California Medical Association, and the Palm Springs Academy of Medicine.

A resident of Palm Springs since 1977, Dr. Grayman lives with his wife, Karla, and their two children, Dane and Britta.
