I have served as the Assistant City Clerk for over a year, replacing the former City Clerk Margaret Hanley. As former Board Secretary to SamTrans' Board of Directors for 11 years, I am confident I have the necessary qualifications serve in the position of City Clerk.

By electing me as your City Clerk, you can be assured that you have elected an individual who will carry out the duties of the Office in a reliable, professional manner, with the conviction that the needs of the community come first.

I will fulfill the duties in the Office of the City Clerk to:

o Administer Municipal Elections and register voters; o Maintain timely Fair Political Practices Commission filings for City Council, Commissioners and City staff;

o Provide information to the public concerning municipal actions, laws and procedures;

o Maintain and preserve historical records, minutes, and ordinances;

o Serve as Clerk to the City Council and Redevelopment Agency.
