Full Biography for Tony Moorhouse

Candidate for
Board of Directors; Half Moon Bay Fire District

I have lived in Half Moon Bay all my life. I served in the U.S. Army and I am a Viet Nam Veteran. I am a Supervisor for the City of Half Moon Bay Public Works Department. My duties involve supervising personnel, overseeing daily operations of the department, purchasing, establishing annual budgets, and working with both the public and community organizations. I have been employed with the City of Half Moon Bay for 27 years.

I have been a volunteer firefighter with the Half Moon Bay Fire Protection District for 32 years. I presently hold the rank of Captain. I am also certified as an Emergency Medical Technician. I attened the College of San Mateo and recieved an Advanced Certificate in Fire Science.

I have watched the Department grow in my 32 years of service and I think the Half Moon Bay Fire Protection District has one of the best Departments in San Mateo County. I feel my 32 years of volunteer service shows my dedication to both the Fire Department and to the citezens of the Half Moon Bay Fire Protection District. I think this qualifies me to be a member of the Fire District Board and I would appreciate yor support on November 2, 1999.
