EDUCATIONAL QUALITY FOR ALL CHILDREN

One of the outstanding privileges we have in the United States is that of eduational opportunities for everyone. No matter where we come from, who we are, or what we believe we all can obtain an education. And all children can learn given the chance.

Quality education is the key to that opportunity or chance. Our school system must function as a company that is proud of what it produces. In order to be proud of our children,we must be proud of ourselves and of each other. It is necessary to work together as a team where each person functions in their position to the highest degree of their capacity.

QUALIFIED AND CARING ADMINISTRATION, FACULTY, AND SUPPORT STAFF

Foremost is qualified teachers and administrators. Teachers and administrators that are fully credentialed would be ideal. Unfortunately, not all fully credentialed personnel can give quality education because they are more focused on other things. Also, at this time we are seeing a great shortage in fully credentialed teachers. So then we must be able to find personnel that can be put on an emergency credential. This does not mean that they are not qualified. It just means that if becoming a teacher is their goal, then we can be of support and help them along the way while they complete the credentialing program. Our support staff should also meet specific qualifications. All should continue their education because we are never too old to learn nor do we ever know it all. Everyone of us who comes in contact with students needs to be held accountable for the kind of education that our children receive. If we all focus on the final product, the children, then quality education for all becomes not a task but a product. A product that we can be proud of.

Finally, I am a firm believer of a worker being worthy of his salary. Give honor where honor is due and along with that honor, a good paycheck. All of this is part of QUALITY EDUCATION FOR ALL CHILDREN.
