Candidate for
Director; Kern Valley Health Care District; 4 Year Term

Born in Compton, California I moved to the Kern River Valley in 1986. I graduated from Dominguez High School in Paramount, California and attended Compton Jr. College.

I served in the U.S. Navy from 1963 to 1967 including twice in Viet Nam. In 1967 and 1969 I was certified in electronics from Clevland Institute and Delco Electronics.

I have four children, Sarah, Wayne, Cindy, and Jim, and I met my wife Lynnae in a Singles Bible Class at church, and I still can't figure out why she said yes.

From 1967 to 1986 I performed Engineering duties for several Los Angeles area radio stations. Then in 1986, when I moved to the Kern River Valley, I began working part-time at radio station KKRV in Kernville, while also assisting with our family business in Mt. Mesa. I took over full ownership and operation of the Lakeview Motel Mt. Mesa in 1990. My wife and I still operate the business, which has been in my family for 23 years.

I now work for QAB Media, which ownes all three radio stations in the Kern River Valley. In addition to engineering duties, I currently co-host the "ALL ABOUT TRIVIA" program with Bonny Denison on KVLI 104.5 FM, and I host the "Dam Talk Show" on Friday's on KCNQ 102.5 FM

Im on the Board of Directors of the Kern River Valley Exchange Club, as well as their Finance Committee, Search for Talent Committee, amoung others, and Im a member of Mountain View Baptist Church in Lake Isabella.
