My fundamenta political philosophy is one of individual liberty and tolerance. The government should not be involved in the arbitrary enforcement of moral values. However, experience has shown time and time again that irresponsible people and corporations will take advantage of others when they can. Therefore it is the responsibility of government to regulate behavior when it is shown to be in the public interest. Hence, sensible regulations to protect our environment from abuse are necessary and should be vigorously enforced.
