Political Philosophy for Jacob Cherub
Candidate for |
I am a candidate for Laguna Beach city council because I believe in the value not only of neighborhoods but also in the value of neighbors. I believe that our city council must no longer be an implement pitting neighbor against neighbor. The city council must be dedicated to protecting and maintaining the neighborhoods of Laguna. In short, place of fairness for all Lagunans. In a cookie-cutter world, Laguna Beach is a unique city embraced by mountains and sea. To maintain this gem we call home, we are charged to be vigilant to the constant menace of mediocrity and pollution. No, I am not one of the usual suspects. I have not sought political office before. Unlike other candidates I do not emerge from the culture of the government. I owe no favors or allegiances I am inspired to give voice to a simple vision so many of us share: to live in clean, neighborly seaside village. I am prepared to accept the challenge if you give me your vote. Please look over my position papers for specific commentaries on the issues. Thank you for your kind attention. |
