This is my Official Candidate StatementI believe in Santa Ana and am proud to represent the citizens of the capitol of Orange County. The son of a United States Marine Corps jet pilot and a registered nurse, I was born and raised in Santa Ana. I attended Santiago Elementary, Willard Intermediate and Santa Ana High. I operate a business in Santa Ana. I met my wife Rossette while attending language school in Costa Rica. Rossette is an educator in the Santa Ana Unified School District and works with disabled children. As your Councilman I have focused on improving the quality of our lives by reversing the criminal trend, jailing violent gang members, making safe streets look safe, cleaning up our neighborhoods, increasing educational opportunities, restoring Santa Ana's business friendly reputation and starting the Reading City literacy program. My ongoing commitment is to continue fighting crime, emphasize neighborhood improvements and code enforcement, continue repairing our streets citywide, grow our urban forest by planting even more trees in our parks and along streets, support our schools, encourage the museum, arts, and culture movement, preserve our neighborhoods and increase our property values. I will fight to maintain local control of our city and resist outside interference from Washington D.C. and Sacramento. I earned a Bachelor's Degree in Business and Economics from Westmont Christian College. I ask for your support to continue transforming Santa Ana into a safe, attractive, and exciting place to live and work. You can reach me at online at:brettfranlkin.com |
