This information is provided by the candidate |
I am prepared to lead. I respectfully request your support to make a real difference for our City of Santa Ana. Thank you.Santa Ana faces challenges requiring qualified leadership and long-term solutions. I am prepared to address these challenges. I hold an engineering degree from UC Berkeley and a master's degree in public policy from Harvard University. I have experience in the public and private sectors. As a former congressional aide, I coordinated solution-based forums on crime against seniors, domestic violence, and the facility needs of schools. As a banker, I help small businesses and charitable organizations meet their credit needs. My recent community work includes memberships on the SAUSD school bond measure, Santa Ana Census, and SAUSD Blue Ribbon Committees. I support business development and innovative partnerships with schools; parental involvement in youth activities; zoning that balances housing, school, and retail development; park and street improvements; and regional approaches to relieve overcrowding and poor air quality. I want to promote citizen involvement in City decision-making. To share your ideas, please call me at 507-3930. The OC Register recently wrote, "Armando Ramirez is a man on a mission." They were right. As a homeowner and third-generation Orange County resident, I will work hard to represent Santa Ana families. My wife, Belinda, and I respectfully request your vote. Thank you. |
