Political Philosophy for Rose Marie Filicetti

Candidate's Statement for ROSE FILICETTI As an experienced, two-term School Board member, I want to serve on the new governance team that directs the merger and delivers the first-rate education all of Mountain View's children deserve. I will continue to listen to, and act on behalf of, the entire community when making important decisions about policy, funding, staffing, and curriculum. I want to promote the best people, programs, and practices to achieve the high academic standards set for all students. I will continue to work for smaller classes and campuses, for choices of schools and programs, and for better communication. A mother of three, I actively advocate for education for all - as Co-chair of the successful 1998 MVSD School Bond campaign, and member of Mountain View Educational Foundation, Los Altos/Mountain View PTA Council and six (now seven) PTA's. I also serve on the Leadership Mountain View Council (Graduate `94), and hold an MBA in Finance. I served on both the Whisman and Mountain View Strategic Planning teams because I bring a broad knowledge of local and regional issues and resources. I have proven my willingness to find objective, practical solutions to tough problems. I ask for your vote! |
