- Did a study of British Schools and Schools across America for Cajon Valley Union Schools
- On Adapt Committee: Alcohol and Drug Prevention task force
- Washington, D.C. - worked for Navy. Dept., Bureau of Aeronautics
- In my Community, have been President of American Ass'n of University Women, Member of Grossmont Community Concert Ass'n, El Cajon Historical Society, Delta Kappa Gamma, League of Women Voters, Phi Delta Kappa
- Helped write a reading series used in the District: (Strong on Phonics)
- Volunteer Rolling Reader - 6 years
- Awards: Received the Community Service Award: P.T.A.; also 1999-2000 P.T.A. Honorary Chairwoman for Music, Art, and Physical Education
