Public SafetyBy Bernie DelaneyCandidate for City Council; City of Oceanside | |
This information is provided by the candidate |
I am committed to a safer Oceanside with increased policing and improved traffic control programs. Oceanside Police Department should staff patrol officers to the maximum budget allocation. The current staffing deficiency does not encourage safer streets. I firmly believe public works needs to focus more on the traffic controls problems our neighborhood's face with special attention given to the wishes and concerns of the community. I have lead the fight for safer streets by convincing the city council to install experimental speed humps in my community. The test appears to be a success. Every citizen's voice should be heard. |
