We, as a city have made many improvements to give our citizens a better community in which to live.I began, early on, to contribute my time and energy to adult and youth recreational programs in the city. I was a member of the board of directors of the Beach Cities Little League and then the American Youth Soccer Organization. I have been active both as a player and in the Women's League for Soccer. I was also one of the first members of the Central Coast Women's Soccer League. As a volunteer, I have supported the Christmas Parade, 50s dances for the Chamber, Kazoo band, Bar-B-Qs and fundraisers and am presently a strong supporter and worker for the new youth center, the Central Coast Exploration Station, which will open in the old fire station in Grover Beach. I support park development and all of the many programs for both senior and youth recreational opportunities in our city. |
