The County Board of Education is responsible for the education of young people who are held in Juvenile facilities. This is our opportunity to make a substantial differnce in these younglives and safeguard our community. By implementing interesting programs that teach skills that will make these young people employable when released, we can change their future. If that is accomplished, we not only have another productive member of society, we have one less criminal on our streets. Federal statistics prove that crime can be drastically reduced through education. I want to make that happen here, in our County.

I strongly support the practice of continually updating educational tools, texts and teacher training to guarantee that all of our schools have the right equipment to prepare all of our students for the technological world of the future.

I also advocate strengthening programs for the disabled and children with special needs. Giving all children an chance for an independent life should always be our goal.

I will put my financial experience to work on school budgets to ensure that every dollar is spent wisely, and that as we plan today, we keep tomorrow's needs in mind.
