Budget, taxation and revenue sources

By Sal Torres

Candidate for Council Member; City of Daly City

This information is provided by the candidate
Building for the future can be expensive but thoughtful planning can ease the burden.
It is imperative that Daly City broaden its tax base. I will continue every effort to attract businesses that are friendly to our environment. Daly City has much to offer. A centrally located BART station can quickly connect our residents to most major Bay Area cities. Geographically, we are next door to the San Francisco business and cultural centers. Our schools are good and our parks and streets are safe. Our housing offers some of the best housing buys on today's market and our workforce is diversified and energetic.

To keep moving in the right direction, I will continue to actively encourage businesses that "fit" to our City to broaden our tax base and keep the cost of city government as low as possible.
