Graduate of UC Berkeley; Retired from the Alameda County Probation DepartmentI graduated from the University of California at Berkeley in 1960 with a major in Criminology. I worked for the Alameda county Probation Deparment from 1960 to 1994 when I retired after 33 1/2 years of service. Among my many assignments I served as the Director of the Juvenile Division, Director of the Juvenile Hall, Assistant Chief Probation Officer for four years and served as Chief Probation Officer my final year with the county. I was responsible for approximately 750 employees and a forty million dollar budget. I have negotiated union contracts, written grants, administered Federal grant programs, testified before the state legislator and the Board of Supervisors. |
