I want to implent better communications between residents and the various offices of city government.We must do things differently so that all citizens can experience prosperity, feel safe in their neighborhoods, businesses, parks, and communicate with city hall. One can achieve this, in part by listening to the concerns of the people. Office hours on Saturday, or a monthly council meeting for just public comments where citizens could raise their concerns and members of the council could share their thoughts on these concerns of the people. This is needed because the current council agenda format usdoes not have enough time for all to voice their thoughts and concerns. Concerns, I make a reality. Also to aid this listening and communicating process, I would push for the P in the Public, being ignored in Palmdale and have the city fulfill its obligation to see a public access station be provided. A public access station enhances the ability of the people to communicate, to get involved with city government, its dealings, and its plans. It will give us an opportunity to make all the concerns of our very diverse community heard. |
