Position on challenges facing MPUSDOur children deserve public schools that will provide them with the education required to succeed and to be productive citizens. As a parent I have a vital stake in our educational process. I am interested in serving to make a contribution to the challenges facing MPUSD in providing for academic achievement that exceeds standards. I am also interested in: ·recruiting and retaining exemplary teachers ·providing for professional teacher development ·providing for adequate facilities and a safe environment in which to learn and achieve ·ensuring fiscal accountability ·developing a strategic plan, with measurements of performance, that aligns academic and nonacademic programs with the mission of MPUSD ·continuing to develop better business practices and evaluating processes for greater efficiency to free-up more resources for the classrooms ·continuing to improve communications and collaborations ·supporting and enhancing parent, community, and other partnerships in the educational process. I believe my background, experience, and motivation qualifies me to represent your interests in this vital endeavor. |
