Candidate for
Councilmember; City of San Carlos; 4 Year Term

Born and raised in northeast Ohio, I am a graduate of Western Reserve Academy in Hudson, Ohio. Attending WRA on full scholarship, I became captain of the wrestling team and graduated with honors in architectural studies.

In 1977, I enrolled at the University of Florida, Gainesville to study architecture and to compete in wrestling. Later I transfered to Clemson University in South Carolina and graduated in 1981 with a Bachelor of Science in Design (Architecture).

Today I have my own San Carlos based business, Grocott Design € Home & Remodel, which specializes in the design of new homes, remodels & additions.

I have maintained my involvement in the wrestling community, coaching for numerous high schools and colleges. Currently I am a volunteer assistant coach at Stanford University.

Organizations for which I have served include: president of the American Institute of Building Design, Golden Gate Chapter; board member of the Barnabas Counseling Center; and office of deacon in the Presbyterian Church, USA.
