North College Hill has been blessed with a series of fine auditors. I intend to profit from their fine examples and then use my additional free time (I am retired) to provide both elected officials and department heads with more up-to-date information than is presently possible. I also intend to work closely with Mayor Dan Brooks to bring our campaign platform to fruition. Our citizens have supported the school system and vote continually to maintain and upgrade the infrastructure of the City. Now, when their pockets are empty, it is up to us to give them what they deserve: a first-rate community center. This will be the entertainment, club, sports, fitness, reception, party, and meeting capital of North College Hill. It will be the focal point of our family-centered community. It is the intent of our Democratic team of candidates to operate the community center facility without increasing taxes AND to set resident membership and rental fees at levels lower than that of our competition. The platform includes other aggressive goals that will enhance the "livability" of North College Hill for both its families and business owners. These include a strengthening of both the Police and Fire/EMS Departments, a continuation of our highly successful street/sewer improvement program by the passage of the Street Levy renewal (at NO INCREASE IN TAXES!), the enhancing of our already-effective property maintenance program, and the broadening of our economic base by the attraction of family-friendly businesses to the City without granting tax abatements. |
