Candidate for
Board Member; Southern Kern Unified School District

My name is Jean Brazeal. I am 37 years old, a wife of 18 years and a mother of four children ages ranging from 6 to 15 years of age. I am proud of the years of volunteer service that I have given to SKUSD. I value the time I spend in the classrooms and the countless hours that I have given to the school's and the district. I am thankful that I am able to give so many hours volunteering to better my children's education.
I have been involved in PTA, and held positions such as President twice, 1st VP in charge of programs, 2nd VP in charge of fundraising, Secretary, Treasurer and Auditor at various levels of PTA. I was chairperson of School Site Council, and I attended the School District Budget Committee Meetings for four years, school district budget's have always intrigued me.
I have a 1st grader, 3rd grader, 5th grader and a 10th grader and I feel this is the best reason for me to be involved in the schools. They are my vested intrest in our schools.
The children are our future and we need to insure that they are all educated to the best of their ability.
