I am writing this letter of recommendation on behalf of Mrs. Jean Brazeal, who will be running in
March 2002 for a position on the Southern Kern Unified School Board of Trustees.

I have known Mrs. Brazeal professionally and personally for four years. I have had the privilege of working with her on several occasions while I served as Principal of Hamilton Elementary School.
Mrs. Brazeal is committed to doing what is best for each child in the Southern Kern Unified School District. She has served as PTA president, PTA vice-president, PTA Treasurer, Chairperson of School Site Council, and Chairperson of the English Learner Advisory Council.
Mrs. Brazeal's extensive training in the above mentioned areas allows her to make decisions for the children that best meet their needs.

Mrs. Brazeal was named Volunteer of the Month on more than one occasion at Hamilton Elementary School. She was instrumental in aiding the 4th and 5th grade teachers in the implementation of the Acceleraled Reader Program. Her dedication to the children and the curricular programs at Hamilton was outstanding.

On the personal side, Mrs. Brazeal was always willing to lend a hand to those in need. She immediately organized relief efforts for families in emergency situations.

Without hesitation, I highly recommend Mrs. Jean Brazeal for a position on the Southern Kern Unified School District Board of Trustees and believe she will be a valued asset to the Board.
