Ron Berki is an experienced and successful trial lawyer who has exhibited an incomparable commitment to justice. Since first admitted to the State Bar of California in 1979, Ron Berki has devoted his career to running a successful private practice, educating law students and litigating on behalf of the underprivileged throughout Santa Clara County.

A seasoned trial lawyer with more than 22 years of experience, Mr. Berki has tried over 150 cases including felonies, misdemeanors, bankruptcy, family law, personal injury, probate and juvenile law in both criminal and civil matters. Ron Berki has earned the reputation as a staunch advocate of justice, working tirelessly on behalf of low-income residents. During 1982 and 1983 he was commended by the State Bar of California Board of Governors for being "outstanding in the delivery of pro bono and low cost services to the poor". Throughout his career Ron Berki has donated numerous hours and thousands of dollars worth of time in legal fees to the elderly and Alzheimer patients.

Serving as a Judge Pro Tempore in the Santa Clara County Municipal Court from 1984 to 1990, Ron Berki employed his extensive legal expertise and experience as a private practioner to help streamline the justice system and improve an overburdened court calendar. An overwhelmingly effective Judge, Ron Berki presided over hundreds of cases and brings a rare compassion for crime victims to the court.

An educator, Mr. Berki has taught various law disciplines for more than 15 years. He was an adjunct professor at Lincoln Law School as well as an Instructor of Business Law and Political Science at Heald Business College. In addition to his work at the collegiate level, Ron Berki helped develop Santa Clara County's Bridging-the-Gap Program in conjunction with the Santa Clara County Bar Association. This innovative program provides practical training to new lawyers on how better to serve their clients. It has now been in place for more than 20 years and is a staple of the Santa Clara County Bar Association.

Ron Berki has worked and lived in the Santa Clara Valley for more than 40 years. Dedicated to building a better quality of life for his neighbors and children, he has worked with the Boy Scouts of America, coached youth soccer and little league baseball for many years. Ron has also served as a Career Day mentor for high school students interested in the legal profession. Continuing his commitment to youth and community Ron Berki has served as treasurer and a member of the Board of Directors of the Santa Clara County Bar Association Barristers Club.

Ron Berki has been married for 24 years to Kathlyn Rose Berki and has two children, Steven and Megan, who are currently attending San Diego and Sonoma State Universities.
