I support the creation of a flood control detention basin. As a participant in the flood control discussions, I have reviewed the various options available. I believe that the best place for the flood control basin is the old Oak Park Elementary School site. This location make sense because it has the necessary capacity to meet the 100 year flood while allowing an opportunity to enhance the recreational facilities in the area. I will work with local, state, and federal agencies to resolve the flood control problem in a manner that meets the safety and financial concerns of our residents. |
