Why you should vote for me!

I served as a Fruitvale School District Board Trustee for 8 years (1992-2000). During that time, the Fruitvale School District earned several California and National Distinguished School honors, ranking them among the best in the state. This reputation and accolades are due in great part to our excellent teachers and support staff, in cooperation with district parents who have continuously provided exceptional support for our students and programs. The District Administration, along with the Board of Trustees, constantly strives to provide careful guidance, with a proactive vision, for the needs of our district. We also take pride in the fact that our district affords it students a rich and challenging curriculum, with many opportunities to succeed and excel.

As a parent, I understand the deep concerns we all share regarding our children's education and other life skills. I am pleased to support the District's incorporation of character based education as part of our K-8 curriculum.

As a Board member I would serve the public's trust and interest. This includes listening to and addressing constituent's and district staff's concerns as they relate to our schools, facility needs (maintenance, upgrade or new construction) in our district, careful review of Board decisions, policies, expenditures and fical responsibility .
