What is the state of the forest in Pacific Grove? We need good city employees.By Bruce J. ObbinkCandidate for Councilmember; City of Pacific Grove; Full Term | |
This information is provided by the candidate |
Residents of Pacific Grove are stewards of the forest, coastline, tide pools and dunes. Good city employees are a valuable asset. Many will agree that the residents of Pacific Grove are the appointed stewards of their coasline, tide pools, and dunes. Yet no one seems to want to take a greater responsibility for our trees. Knowing the state of the forest is neither complicated nor expensive to undertake. it does, however, take a commitment by government and citizens to put into action the remedies required. We all want good city employees and our best-qualified citizens on the City council and commissions. But we won't get quality people if we continue to demean our elected representatives and city staff in public forums. |
