It's time to reaffirm that living in America is one of the greatest benefits in the world.Beginning in the 1990's there was a very strong effort throughout the educational industry to tear America down. No matter what the issue, America was always the bad guy. American's never did anything right and we exploited the world for our own gains. Half truths and down right lies were the things our children were being taught. America is the greatest country in the world. Everyone living here (legally that is) should be greatful that they can call America home. Our children don't need to be confused with half-truths about our history. We are the sole superpower in the world because we have worked harder than any other nation to achieve that standard. Our moral and ethical standards are still the highest in the world, despite some lapses in the economic community. Our children need to be confident and proud of being Americans. That is why I have been working with our school district to make sure that as many classes as possible incorporate examples of great Americans into the class structure. |
