Joseph Pak and his family have lived in California for over three decades. Joseph and his wife, Linda, have three grown children and value family, education, and service. Joseph is grateful for the opportunities his community and American freedom have provided him and his family. Through public service, Joseph wants to make Garden Grove an even better place to live and work. He will use his business skills and community dedication to benefit our families. As your councilman, he wants to promote good jobs, strong education, and safe neighborhoods. QUALIFIED: Joseph Pak earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the USC and received a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix. He uses his training each day as Director of Community Relations for Pacific Bell. HARD WORKING: Joseph Pak strives to excel in all of his pursuits. At the age of three, polio left him with a paralyzed left arm. This challenge has not kept him from pursuing dreams, serving others, and achieving goals. Joseph once ran the L.A. Using his functional arm, Joseph often participates in fund-raising golf tournaments to benefit the Boys and Girls Club, organizations for the physically-disabled and local Chambers of Commerce. In April, Joseph received a service award from the O.C. Human Relations Commission. His many achievements were recently reported in the Orange County Register. EXPERIENCED: Joseph Pak volunteers for many non-profit organizations serving seniors, the business community, and schools. Joseph first began helping kids from low- income families as a community service worker. He also has defended battered women and senior citizens. Joseph has spent the last 24 years with SBC Pacific Bell and currently serves as Community Relations Director. In this capacity, he ensures cooperation between SBC Pacific Bell and local governments, our elected officials, and community leaders. SERVICE ORIENTED: Joseph Pak and his family remain active with their church. In addition, Joseph dedicates time to the following organizations: • Acacia Adult Day Service • OCTA - Member, Special Needs Advisory Committee • California State Rehabilitation Council • Garden Grove Rotary Club • Coastline Community College Foundation • Sister City Association of Garden Grove • Orange County Presidents Council • Garden Grove Chamber of Commerce • O.
