Moving ForwardBy Terry J. (Foss) Gray, (Garrison Family)Candidate for Council Member; City of Campbell | |
This information is provided by the candidate |
We must move forward. The Campbell Reporter headline Sept. 25, 2002 (page 7) read "Incumbents running again to continue several municipal improvement projects". I not only want to continue current projects but there is a need for new focus as well. Everything I've heard from my opponents is a 'ME TOO' platform. Fiscal responsibility, public safety, traffic calming, and such should automatically be a high priority of the Council Members office and this should go without saying. There is much more that needs to be focused on and brought to the four front. Our community is diverse and the Council we want must represent the community as a whole. Last year a telephone survey was conducted and 56% felt very satisfied, 33% felt somewhat satisfied with city services. This should tell the council and staff something. Things can be improved and should be! I will bring to the council a new energy, a new perspective and a desire to listen to our citizens and business owners. |
