1. To maintain quality services, the steps are: · preserve City reserves; · keep our very good people; · closely monitor revenue sources; · prevent, where possible, state take-over of revenue; and · scrutinize the Capital Improvement Plan for changes in priorities. 2. With the Housing Element of the General Plan approved at the State level, we can begin updating our ordinance to implement the new opportunities for affordable housing. Working with the experience of our neighboring communities, policies will be investigated and developed to implement the opportunities such as inclusionary housing and expanding the first-time homebuyers program. 3. We have an on-going and successful relationship with the school districts for after-school programs. In the current partnership, the City has funded music, drama and swimming programs for the Grammar, Middle and High school age children. The after school program for the school district was faltering, the City of Campbell stepped in, revitalized the program and turned it back to the school district. This program is very successful now. |
