I spent my entire life in the public school system. As a student, I attended schools in three different countries thus I have first hand experience of vastly different public school systems. After arriving to the United States as a political refugee, I was once again exposed to a new experience. I became an ESL student.

While in college, I was teaching Hungarian at the International Institute of Effectiveness.

After graduating from San Francisco State University, I started to work at City College of San Francisco in the Office of Instruction, where I worked with the Dean of Instruction on the faculty evaluation, and the Dean of K-12 and Articulation on the articulation document. In the Telecourse Department I worked with various aspect of distance learning and assisted in production of some educational projects such as the Homework Hotline, which was a co-production with the San Francisco Unified School District.

Currently, as the shared governance coordinator at the City College, I work closely with students, faculty, staff and the administration, to coordinate shared governance and to help resolve any potential conflict in this area between the Academic Senate, the unions, the Student Association, and the district. I also work with the Office of Research, Planning and Grants, where I got first hand experience to work with board resolutions pertaining grants and contracts. I have extensive experience to work with major plans at public schools, such as the City College Master Plan, Strategic Plan and Technology Plan, just to name a few.

I serve on following committees at City College of San Francisco:
1. Curriculum Committee, which recommends new course and program offerings and revisions in title, prerequisites, student units, descriptions of existing course.
2. Communication Committee, which amongst other function is in charge of recommending various means of recruiting high-school students.
3. College Advisor Council, which coordinates policy development and make recommendations in areas not under the leadership of the Academic Senate. The Council's recommendation is forwarded to the Chancellor and ultimately to the Board of Trustees.

I also served the Planning and Budgeting Council which is responsible to provide guidance in the overall planning system for CCSF, participate in the development of plans (including the strategic plan and annual plans), review and recommend the annual budget, and participate in the semi-annual assessment of accomplishments and outcomes. The Council makes planning and budget recommendations directly to the Chancellor, and ultimately to the Board of Trustees. Also served on other committees, such as the Master Planning Committee and the Educational Technology Committee.

I am also involved with the community. I am a member of the Hungarian Cultural Club and in the past, I served as a board member on the Pazmany Foundation, which was instrumental in purchasing a former soviet military base in Hungary, and converting it to a university.
