Candidate for
Governing Board Member; San Miguel Joint Union School District

My name is Meg Brooks, my family and I have been associated with Lillian Larsen School for thirteen years.During this time we have had three of our six children and two of our six grandchildren attend Lillian Larsen. I have held two terms on the School Site Council and two terms on the PTO as Vice President.I have been an employee for two years,working with special education students.

If I am elected to the school board I would spend time on campus getting to know the staff members, students and their families. This is the beauty of a small district. I would like to communicate with all of the employees on campus . I believe that knowing the school employees,students and families, will help me make the decisions I will be asked to make as a board member. I know that I will be making decisions that can effect all of us,and I need to know what your expectations are, as well as what you see as the positive aspects of Lillian Larsen School. As a board member I would welcome phone calls, E-mails and letters.

If selected I will respect the opinions of the staff who work with our students every day. I will observe the impact of the school boards decisions on all concerned. As a board member I hope to learn from other peoples experiences and expertise. I feel that with everyone working together we can work toward our mission statement,striving to "ACHIEVE EXCELLENCE FOR ALL"
