Speaks for itself. Wouldn't it nice to have some other members of the community share in the process of deciding our destiny? 'You can't depend on your judgement when your imagination is out of focus', MarkTwain.
The board needs some diversity and new imagination.
I feel that the decisions process could benefit by having some new members
more representative of the working, economically challenged, fiscally un-involved, differently
cultured, and/or 'less is more' population of Los Osos. The current board members have all worked
closely for at least 6 years or more and may have possibly closed the loop on pro-creative
problem-solving. Some diversity, new open vision, and fresh spirit will most likely improve our small
government.
This is a crucial time to think and openly discuss what kind of a town we want to be. There is major
change on the visible horizon. I believe developers, realtors, assessors, governmental agencies, the
county, and others, should not pressure us to lose 'our town' in haste and waste and the enter in to the inevitable
social/financial segregation that money frenzy brings. Balance is good. Creativity is good. Change is
good. I think the board needs some new faces, some new vision.
