I will not allow the vandalism, threats and intimidation from controlling my future, by remaing a candidate for LOCSD Board of Directors.
In the last six months, I spearheaded the TOTAL RECALL movement, to bring back to Los Osos residents, the ability to control the future of our community. In that time, I have endured numerous acts of vandalism, my neighbors and friends have been intimidated. and supporters of the sewer plant have threatened my job and my residence. These incidents have been reported to the Sheriff's office, and twice explained to the LOCSD Board of Directors, in the bi-monthly meetings. It still continues.
On Oct 11, 2002 I withdrew my name from the election. I truly felt with the amount of money involved with development of the sewer plant, and the destruction of the real estate market, it was in the best interest of my family and myself to no longer subject myself to these crimes.
Thank you, to the scores of supporters, that have taken the time to send cards, e-mails and personnally talk to me on the telephone and in person. We can still win the election, for the people that refuse to allow the building of the sewer plant in the middle of town, but you and I must continue the good fight. Respectfully, Thomas A. E. Salmon
