Education and Qualifications:

My name is Leonardo G. Huerta, a lifetime resident of the City of East Palo Alto and a proud father of five children. I have worked as the Latin America Regional Sales Manager and a domestic company policy maker with a local company, a company I have been employed at for eleven years. I currently serve as an Executive Board of Director for BUILD (http://www.BULD.org) , a local non-profit serving the Ravenswood area and as Co-Commissioner of Ravenswood AYSO, the fastest growing sport organization in East Palo Alto. Through my experiences at work and as a volunteer, I have accumulated great deal of experience in organizing and planning. I hope to have the opportunity to use these experiences as your City Council member.

If you elect me to City Council I promise to use all of my skills to improve government communication and interaction with East Palo Alto residents regarding all public issues and invest time and effort into increasing the property value of our homes by promoting a balance of homes, open space, and small businesses.

My goal is to be a true public servant by improving the quality of life with sensible business decisions that positively affect the diverse community of East Palo Alto.
