Keeping Cotati Fiscally Sound During Unstable Economic Times: I will protect Cotati's General Fund and make sensible budget decisions based on our current and future financial outlook. I will continue to support the revitalization of our downtown to secure and promote sales tax revenue, as well as support the development of new businesses in appropriately zoned areas. Celebrating Cotati's Past & Preserving It's Future: I will continue to protect our rural character by advocating responsible growth and upholding our Urban Growth Boundary and Growth Management Ordinance. I will continue to promote environmental responsibility. We've set an example by incorporating significant energy conservation measures in our new police station. Now we need to demand that same level of commitment from others wishing to build here. Creating Recreation and Relaxation: My fellow Council members and I have made great strides in providing new services for Cotati, including a new community center and recreation program. I want to expand our recreation program to include programs of interest to citizens of all ages. I want our Civic Center Park to evolve into reality, and to continue to link our neighborhoods, shopping areas, parks and schools together with bicycle and pedestrian pathways. Providing Safety and Security: To nurture and protect our children, and to ensure our seniors' years are indeed golden, we must provide a safe and secure environment. I voted to build the new state-of-the-art police station now under construction so we can be sure our police officers have all they need to keep us safe. I will continue to support measures directed to increase safety in high traffic neighborhoods, and our Pavement Management System designed to keep our roadways in a safe driving condition. |
