Environmental PreservationBy Steve RabinowitshCandidate for Member, City Council; City of Santa Rosa | |
This information is provided by the candidate |
I am working to preserve and protect our natural environmentI have worked for years to preserve the environment. I was a founder of the Sonoma County Agricultural Preservation and Open Space District. I was on the committee that ran the campaign that established the district and served for eight years on the advisory committee. I have worked to protect the open space around Santa Rosa as well. I supported tough ridgeline development controls so that we won't have more homes built on top of our ridges. I worked to enact protection of scenic road regulations that protect such roads as Montecito, Brush Creek and Melita Roads. I have worked for years to restore creeks and preserve the land next to them for public access. |
