Proposition 13 Reform

I propose that commercial and industrial property be periodically reassessed at market value.

If commerccial and industrial property were to be assessed at market value - lack of revenue for schools, cities, and counties, would be solved. Included in the above would be adequate funding for education, and assistance for the poor and the elderly.

Taxes collected in the first year would be be approximately 7-10 billion dollars, and growing with the economy.

Homeowners would not be adversely impacted by this reform.

That is, if Proposition 13 is reformed as stated above, most of the monetary problems that we now have in California would disappear. I'm of the opinion that if Proposition 13 is reformed, that money would be available to propose special treatment to; homeowners, renters, senior citizens, disabled persons, first time home buyers, and small business owners.
