Motivation for Running for Trustee

Being grateful for the opportunity to continue my education at the community college level, I want to repay the system that helped me achieve my dreams.

I believe that participating as a Trustee, I can help repair some of the damage suffered this past year. My goals are to restore the community's trust, rebuild the cooperation between faculty, staff, and administration, and ensure that all students have the opportunity to continue their educations as I did.

It is crucial that our community college district stay focused on providing a quality education, while maintaining a prominent and trusted position within the County.

In the midst of the current scandal, the credibility of the current board of trustees has been eroded. Especially now, our College District requires strong leadership to guide us through the upcoming changes. The District requires, and deserves, a trustee with a high level of mental acuity, energy, and enthusiasm. The District also demands that fairness and respect be at the forefront of every decision, without political paybacks guiding the decision-making process. I bring all of those characteristics to the table.
