West Hollywood needs to get rid of the career politicians!

By James Fuhrman

Candidate for Council Member; City of West Hollywood

This information is provided by the candidate
Top 3 priorities and general information on assuring we continue to provide social services to the poor already living here.
We need to come to the realization that the City can no longer accept any more so-called "affordable housing" in the City. Bringing new poor into the City will seriously jeopardize the services we want to continue to provide to those already living here. We need to encourage new fair market housing to have money available to provide more public services and facilities.

We need to take money out of politics and stop allowing big money candidates to buy elections. The four incumbents will combined spend about $300,000 on this election, for a job that only pays $550 per month. That comes out to about $40 per vote. This is just wrong. We need Councilmembers who are here to serve the people rather than serve themselves.

Top 3 priorities:
1. No longer balancing the City's budget with alcohol sales, which clearly costs us MORE in Sheriff's costs than the revenue we take in in taxes.

2. Quality of life issues: delivering on the promises and lies of the last 19 years of a new library, added greenspace and more parking Citywide.

3. Ending corruption, theft of taxpayer money, and wasteful expensive travel and meals of City Councilmembers and some employees at City Hall.
