I am retired. My wife Betty, our children and I Came to El Dorado County in 1969. I was employed as Asst Supt. (business ) for the El Dorado H.S.District and the Placerville Elementary School Dist . (then under one administration). I became Supt. of both when Supt. left.. Became Supt. of Placerville Elementary District when the high school district and Placerville split and each hired its own Supt. We have four children WW II Air Corps - AB San Jose State - MA Stanford University - - last Superintendency Jakarta International School, Jakarta, Indonesia - Community activities numerous, :including Foreman, 1991/2 Grand Jury.

What do I think rate payers expect from their EID Director?

If I'm elected, you can expect the following:

• In my official actions I will FIRST remember that I was elected to represent the best interests of rate payers and the District.

• My official actions will demonstrate that I value the contributions of District employees. -- the people who make the system work.

• I either have or will obtain knowledge about the physical systems of the District, their administration and finances. Such knowledge is essential in decision making. and in enabling me to talk coherently about the systems, using plain language.

• I will bear my share of responsibility for adopting and implementing appropriate policies and regulations for all aspects of the District's operations.

• My demeanor in Board meetings will reflect my belief that people can disagree on issues without being disagreeable. I reject boorish behavior, or disparaging remarks directed toward a fellow Board Member, District employee or a member of the public.
