September 2003 Dear Friends and Neighbors,

I am running for Town Council and am asking for your support. My background, accomplishments, and vision for the future are on the back of this page.

As the current Chairman of the Planning Commission, and as a former member and chair of the Design Review Board, I have been working for you and your neighbors on issues important to all of us. I would like to continue to do so on the Town Council.

As an appointed Town official, land use attorney, and Marin County native, I have the experience, skills, and historical community perspective to effectively replace retiring Councilmember Andrew Thompson. I am also current on the issues facing Tiburon today, and can immediately step up to provide fair and pragmatic leadership with a strong dose of common sense.

My grandparents lived here, my family and I live here, and we are raising our two children here. Our kids go to Bel Aire and Del Mar, and I could not be prouder of them and our schools. I want to preserve our small town character, which means limiting growth and protecting our open space, ridgelines, and waterfronts to the maximum extent feasible. I also want to maintain the fiscal restraint shown by our current council, improve traffic flow, enhance pedestrian and bicycle safety, support local business, and make our downtown more user-friendly to locals.

I am a proven consensus builder and problem solver. I can work in harmony with the current members of the Town Council to continue to provide the quality leadership our beautiful community so richly deserves. I love Tiburon and I know you do too.
