Biographical Highlights
  • Occupation: Retired Administrator/Educator
  • 8 years experience as a San Mateo County Community College Trustee, elected in 1989 and 1993. Near perfect attendance.
  • Elected to the Millbrae City Council in 1974 and 1978, Mayor 1978. Experience in City government finances and budgeting.
  • Former electronics teacher at Skyline College, College of San Mateo and Capuchino High School.
  • Former Assistant Principal Student Services at Burlingame High School, advisor to the school athletic program.
  • Former President of the San Mateo County Industrial Education Association promoting vocational education in the county.
  • Author (1998) of "Trapped in Tuscany," an account of the author's experiences in Italy during WWII.
Top Priorities if Elected
  • Continue to provide access to the best possible education for community college students, despite budget restraints.
  • Try to unify the three campuses to provide the same course content and same numbering of classes to facilitate enrollment in the district.
  • Increase the retention rate in classes. Student drop out rate has been high in certain areas in the past
