Candidate for
Board Member; Modesto City Schools; 4 Year Term

My family and I have lived in Modesto for over 40 years. My daughter graduated from Modesto High School, attended UCLA and received a law degree from USC.

I was a teacher/counselor in the Modesto City School District for eight years and spent the remainder of my career as a teacher/counselor/administrator at Modesto Junior College. I am an educational leader with vision, integrity, values and judgment you can trust.

I have been very active in my community. I am a member of Soroptimist International of Modesto, AAUW, and Delta Kappa Gamma. I organized the county's first literacy program in l985 and received recognition for instituting this program by being awarded the Jean and Clyde Dunlap award in 2000. I retired from Modesto Jr. College in July, 2001.

I was appointed to the University of California Board of Regents in l999 and re-appointed for a 12 year term in 2000. I have served three terms on the Modesto City School Board.
