Policy Compliance & DevelopmentBy Diane M. MilbauerCandidate for Trustee; Newman-Crows Landing Unified School District; Long Term | |
This information is provided by the candidate |
Board Policies and administrative regulations must be current, updated in accordance with C.S.B.A. (California School Board Association) mandates. Otherwise, staff is handicapped with outdated policies. POLICY DEVELOPMENT IS THE NUMBER ONE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE BOARD.Policy development is the number one priority of a school board. Without current, updated Policies, there is risk of exposure - potential liability issues - involved with some policies. C.S.B.A. (California School Boards Association) policy mandates and its update program is an invaluable source. Experience in a district, particularly in that area, would be a tremendous asset to any school board! Policies and administrative regulations take time, expertise and discipline to update and to complete.
1. Is the District compliant? |
