Top Priorities if Elected
  • I support balancing the state budget through cutting state spending without raising taxes.
  • I will fight for meaningful workers' compensation reform that is fair to both injured workers with objective findings of disability and to employers.
  • I would push for the privatization and "contracting-out" of non-essential sections of the state bureaucracy.

Position Papers
Where I stand on social issues.
Although I am an openly gay candidate running for state office, I am running on economic issues, e.g. bringing businesses and jobs back to California, not social issues. The following are my responses to a questionaire on issues of interest to the lesbian and gay community sent to me from Equality California, a state-wide gay rights organization which had endorsed Cruz Bustamonte during last year's recall election.
Why I oppose Proposition H
The following is an extended version of the ballot argument which I submitted against Proposition H, which would amend the San Francisco City Charter to allocate at least 2.5% of the City's General Fund to create a "Public Education Enrichment Fund" to spend in designated public education programs.
Why I oppose Proposition E
The following is an extended version of the ballot argument I submitted against Proposition E on the March 2 San Francisco ballot. The proposal would grant the Board of Supervisors authority to designate any federal statute as a "watch law" and disobey any federal court orders to produce records under the designated "watch law"
