Without the PCCD my childhood dream of becoming the first college graduate on both sides of my family could not have become a reality. My first job in college that helped finance my education was through the Work Study Program at Laney College. My San Jose State University internship in my senior year was at the College of Alameda. And my first job (part-time) out of SJSU was as an Assistant Men's Basketball Coach at Laney. I am indebted to the PCCD, so I've consistently stayed connected to Peralta as a part-time employee and volunteer for many years.

For 30 years I have dedicated my life to helping students from elementaary school through community college to further their education, be productive citizens and give back to the community.
