Re-instate abandoned joint City Council - School Board meetings to discuss issues of common concern.Re-instate abandoned joint City Council - School Board meetings to discuss issues of common concern such as campus security, crossing safety, a third high school, illegal students. Create a School Board Advisory Council and task force(s)made up of volunteers from the city's concerned citizenry as a means of incorporating ideas from the best of the best. Reinvigorate trust and positive communication with teachers who are currently disgruntled, bitter and distrustful. Establish better communications with parents through town hall meetings, e-newsletters or e-message boards. Establish collaborations with community organizations, corporate sponsors especially music, sports, youth and educational stores. |
