I want to thank you for giving me the honor of representing you on the Placerville City Council. It has been a very challenging and productive four years. Unlike other cities in this difficult economy, we have maintained city services without laying off employees. The council worked cooperatively for the past four years to address the failures of previous councils. It wasn't glamorous ... it was hard work. I learned more about defaulted bonds, sewer plant retrofitting, Capital Improvement Plans, etc. than I ever expected to know. The products of these extensive analyses are now being implemented. Old-fashioned lights grace Main Street. Cedar Ravine and Main St. are being repaved. The City pool is being re-built. New lights are up at Lions Park. The tennis courts are re-surfaced. Parks and Rec offer more programs to people of all ages. The police department is responsive and strong. The new City Hall is being remodeled so that the projects we have prioritized and allocated funds for can be undertaken. Much has been accomplished. Much has yet to be done. I'm asking for your vote on Nov 2nd. I pledge to preserve Placerville's history and charm, demand high standards for development, plan for future needs, and, most importantly, serve the people.
