- Experienced: Chaired 5 years District Advisory Committee (DAC) on Title 1- I will come prepared for next level of responsibility on the Board of Educa
- Knowledgeable: I understand issues and data related to education - STAR, API, AYP, and No Child Left Behind.
- Truly Independent: Measure me on what I have been doing, I am not asking more of anyone than I have not already been doing myself.

Top Priorities if Elected |
- Increase parental involvement at all levels. Parents are the first teachers; give them the tools to do better at home. We are all in this together.
- Plan for the future - Growth in the Northeast and South Bakersfield will require new schools.
- Fiscal stability. The finances of BCSD will not be undermined under my watch. We need to use the money we do have in a wise and efficient manner.
